Curious about real Wegovy weight loss results? Here’s what I eat, how my routine changed, and what five months on Wegovy looks like in midlife.

It’s been five months since I started taking Wegovy — click here to learn more about what it is and how it works. So far I’ve lost 9 kilos — and yes, that feels good. But honestly, the number on the scale is only part of the story. What feels even better is not obsessing over food all the time.

Not thinking about what to eat, what not to eat, what I “should” be doing.

There’s just more space in my brain now. More calm.

I still eat every day. I still enjoy food. But I’m not driven by it like I used to be.

That, for me, is the biggest shift.

What I Eat on Wegovy (No Diet, No Tracking)

People always ask this. And I get it — when you’re on this journey, it’s comforting to peek into someone else’s routine.

Let me be clear: I’m not following a strict plan. I’ve never tracked calories. I don’t follow rules. I just do what feels good.

I’m also living alone, in Spain, and work from home.

This isn’t a strict Wegovy meal plan, but it’s a look at how I eat now — and how I’ve found ease and nourishment without food rules.

Here’s what a typical day might look like:

My Wegovy Breakfast

I’m usually hungry in the morning. Not ravenous, but ready to eat.

Most days I’ll have a bowl of coconut yogurt (I’m allergic to dairy and soy), with some berries and my homemade granola. It’s simple, nourishing, and honestly, I love the ritual of it.

Once a week or so, I treat myself to a chocolate croissant from my favorite local bakery in Pollensa. It’s flakey, rich, and just perfect. I don’t feel guilty about it. It’s such a pleasure. And it’s enough.

What I Eat for Lunch on Wegovy

Lunch is usually my biggest meal of the day. I don’t eat at a set time, I wait until I’m actually hungry, which is a new thing for me.

Sometimes it’s a big salad with grilled chicken or salmon. Sometimes rice with veggies. Or just a homemade sandwich.

I cook most meals myself. I almost never go out for lunch. It just feels better in my body when I prepare it myself.

What I Eat for Dinner

Evenings are lighter. I’m usually not that hungry anymore.

Sometimes I’ll have soup (I batch cook and freeze portions), or kitchari, or a little plate of cheese, grapes, and some carrot sticks.

Occasionally, I’ll have a glass of white wine. Not every night (okay, but many nights if I’m honest).

Snacks + Sweets

I don’t crave sugar like I used to. That part has really changed. But I still enjoy something sweet here and there — like watermelon, a banana, or even an ice cream if it’s hot outside.

I’ve realized I don’t need to ban things. I just don’t reach for them as much.

One night, I went out for dinner with a friend and ordered pasta with clams and tiramisu. And I felt so sick afterward. It was a good reminder. Not everything is worth it.

The Biggest Surprise on Wegovy

Wegovy hasn’t made me feel like a different person. But it’s helped me return to myself.

The emotional weight of food has lightened. I’m less reactive. Less fixated. I don’t punish myself with hunger, and I don’t soothe with snacks. I eat when I’m hungry. I stop when I’m full. I don’t finish what’s on my plate just because it’s there.

It’s subtle, but powerful.

Why I Started Wegovy in the First Place

I didn’t start Wegovy because I hated my body. I started because I was tired. Tired of the noise. Tired of carrying the same story for too long. Click here to read my first post about why I started my Wegovy journey.

I’m 54. I live in Spain. I walk my dog, cook for myself, and I’m building a new life that feels honest and light.

And yes — I want to feel good in my body. I want to stay healthy. I want to feel light and strong and beautiful.

I’m not obsessing like I used to. But I do care.

And right now, this feels like the most peaceful relationship with food I’ve ever had.

If you’re considering Wegovy or already on your own midlife weight loss journey, I hope this glimpse into my experience after 5 months helps you feel less alone. This is what’s working for me — and I’ll keep sharing what I learn as I go.
